Just a friendly reminder regarding the upcoming Washington DC trip. We are scheduled to leave from Saint Nicholas at exactly 6:00 AM. I ask that you give yourself enough time to arrive at Saint Nicks by 5:30 AM. Our first attraction is at the US Capital at 11:10 AM and we need at least 30 min prior to allow us time to clear security.
For those that are driving to Saint Nicholas please keep in mind that you will need time to find parking for the 3 days that we are away.
I confirmed with the National 4H center that they will supply bed sheets, bathing soap, shampoo and conditioner and there are TVs with basic cable programming in every room.
So with that being said, please make sure you pack a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, pajamas, and a change of clothes for any downtime, while at the hotel.
All Scouts will need to be in Class A Uniform while we are out and about. There will be a group picture with the uniform on!
For those scouts that are attending without a parent or guardian, I want to remind you that you will need money to buy lunch and dinner the first night and lunch only on the last day. You may also want to include additional money for any souvenirs, beverages or snacks.
All scouts will need to buddy up at all times. There are no exceptions to this.
I am also asking all adults to please share in the responsibility of looking out for the safety of all our Scouts on this trip.
