GOYA Fundraiser (Service)

The St. Nicholas Flushing GOYA and all youth groups of our community are working together to raise funds and awareness for autism.  Johnny Douveas and George Chrysikos are the Boy Scout representatives on a committee of teens from the church youth group, GOYA, the graduates of the of the William Spyropoulos Greek-American Day School and the Stephen and Areti Cherpelis Hellenic School, our teen Sunday School volunteers, and our local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops.  The committee has been working since the summer to organize an event to raise money and awareness for Luv Michael, a not-for-profit organization that educates, trains, and employs individuals with autism.

The fundraising event will be a dance that is being held on Friday, January 24th from 7-11 pm at the St. Nicholas Sarantakos Hall.  Admission is $30 per person and includes food, refreshments, giveaways and door prizes. There will be a special live performance by Greek-American parody rapper, So Tiri.    Also, So Tiri has generously donated the Carrera sunglasses he wore in the Feta Kai Psomi music video for a raffle drawing.  The sunglasses will be raffled, along with a $50 Amazon gift card, Panera Bread Dinner for Two, $25 H&M gift card, and two AMC movie tickets.  Raffles are $5 each or book of 5 for $20.  PLEASE NOTE: ONLY ADULTS 18 YEARS AND OLDER MAY PURCHASE RAFFLE TICKETS.
